NEW - 1 Day Gusseted zipped Cross Body Bag Course - £125
This is a brilliant cross bag that can be used everyday for all your essentials, perfect for our busy lives. It has a main zip entrance, a leather card holder pocket on the inside and a fabric patch pocket. Super cute piped detail on outer edge of the main body and a detachable webbing handle.
When you arrive all of the leather and stabilisers for your bag will be cut and ready to be assembled.
If you would like to bring with you some lining for your bag, we recommend a light to medium weight fabric. I like using cotton fabric as its much easier to work with that silks, however its completely up to you. You will need roughly 60cm wide x 30cm high. We also have lots of linings if you'd rather use ours.
Leather & Hardware Colours
We have 9 colour options, black, tan brown, dark green, navy, purple and taupe, bright red, fuchsia or teal leather for this bag. (see image of leather colours in this description, scroll down images)

Machines
You have the option to work with domestic or industrial sewing machines. We are very lucky to be sponsored by Tysew Sewing Machines and we have a number of different machines all fitted with servo motors which are’ slow speed motors so they are really easy to use and beginner friendly.
It is totally possible to make this bag on a domestic sewing machine so if you are more comfortable using one of those it’s no problem at all!
We highly recommend you using our industrial machines in this course to really give your bag that professional look.
In our studio we have:
One flatbed lockstitch
Two flatbed walking feet
Two walking foot needle feed cylinder arm
Skiving machine
Rivet press
Eyelet press
Popper press
4 Janome domestic sewing machines

We will have a half an hour lunch break together so please bring lunch and snacks. Before Covid 19 I used to provide lunch and snacks but for now I have been advised for people to bring their own, which I am sad about as I loved providing this. Coffee / tea will also be provided but if you would rather bring your own then, of course, are more than welcome.
