FAQ's and accommodation

What is the difference between the 2day course and then also attending the 1 day pattern cutting course? On the 2 day course you will choose from 6 different handbag shapes which are all pre-prepared patterns. You will will then get to choose what combinations of materials you wish to use, then you cut and construct the bag. On the 1 day pattern cutting course you can design a handbag from scratch, creating the design, doing the pattern cutting and then you can construct the bag during the 2 day course.

If I have never had any experience of handbag making should I only do the taster course? Yes if possible we do recommend you attend one of our taster courses first before proceeding with the 1 day or 2 day courses. The main reason is so that you have a good understanding of the processes and also experience sewing on the industrial sewing machines. However if you can't attend a taster course then we will support you and give you extra guidance for learning about sewing or whichever skills you need support with.
What time does the course run from? The courses run from 9.30am-3/4pm weekdays and 10.30am-5pm at the weekend.
What is the address? Unit 7 Suite 1, Top Floor. Parklands Business Centre, 44 Chartwell Road, Lancing, West Sussex BN15 8UE.

What happens if my bag is not finished by the end of the course? he All our taster and 1 day course are tried amnd tested designs that should always be possible to acheive in the time regardless of expeience. On the 2 day course you have pre-prepared patterns to use, shoudl you want to customise them at all then this can take more time, perhaps a half day extra. On the 1 day pattern cutting course, should oyu choose to design a very complex bag then I might recommend 3 days to achieve making the bag rather than the 2 day which is normally recommended.
Whats dates do the courses run? The timetable lists all the courses. We run the courses with a max of 6-8 people at a time and section them off into taster, 1 day or 2 day courses. If you wanted to do the 4 day course then you are welcome to do this on any of the 2 day courses. Please email me directly and we can discuss your dates.
How do I book my place? Once you have chosen the course you wish to attend and decided on dates to attend then simply go to the course page and click add to cart, then follow the payment procedure. During the checkout you will see a comment box, please add in your dates you wish to attend. If you are not sure what dates you wish to attend please leave this blank and we will contact you to confirm at a later date.
