What is the difference between the 2 and 3 day course? On the 2 day course you will choose from 3 different handbag shapes which are all pre-prepared patterns. You will will then get to choose what combinations of materials you wish to use, then you cut and construct the bag. On the 3 day course you can design a handbag from scratch, creating the design, doing the pattern cutting and then constructing of the bag. So the main difference between the 2 and 3 day is that the 3 day course you get to experience pattern cutting.

If I have never had any experience of handbag making should I only do the beg and intermediate course? Yes if possible we do recommend you attend one of our 1 day or 2 day courses before embarking on an advanced course. The main reason is so that you have a good understanding of the processes and also experience sewing on the industrial sewing machines. However if you want to start with the advanced 4 day course then we will support you and give you extra guidance for learning about sewing or whichever skills you need support with.

What happens if my bag is not finished by the end of the course? At the beginning of the course we will be advised if it seems you are adding lots of different details that the estimated time to have your bag completed might be an extra time.  For example people come and start with the 2 day course but want to do a bag from scratch or add lots of details to the pre-prepared patterns. Therefore you can choose to simplify your bag or come back for an extra half of whole day.
Every person is different and some people work at a faster or slower pace than others, during your course you will be updated with estimates of how your project is evolving. This means that again things can take longer than anticipated so we have the option to come back for an extra half of whole day. You also have the option that we can finish your bag for you and post it to you, it will be charged at £30 per hour and postage costs.
