Seasonal Leather Sewing & Making Club

A lovely excuse to get creative, learn something new and enjoy a good old natter!

I'm so excited to introduce The Crafting Bees, our new seasonal online sew-along, with beautiful leather-making kits delivered straight to your door.

The idea came from something I started doing with a few of my seamstress friends. We'd get together once a month, put aside all the work we should have been doing and make something just for ourselves. No deadlines, no pressure, just a few hours of creativity, plenty of cups of tea and a good old catch-up!

I loved those evenings so much that I thought, why not do something similar with all of you?

And so The Crafting Bees was born!

🌼 How does it work?

Every three months we'll launch a new seasonal project, with a gorgeous kit, a full recorded tutorial and the chance to join me online for a couple of live making sessions.

We'll be delving into the RJ pattern archives, giving some of our favourite designs a little makeover and exploring different leathers, techniques and creative ideas along the way.

Whether you're joining us to learn something new, make a handmade gift or simply enjoy some time doing something creative, everyone is welcome!

🧵 What's included?

A beautiful leather-making kit

Everything you need for that season's project, delivered to your door. No spending hours hunting down materials!

8 hours of recorded tuition

A full step-by-step lesson, split into two 4-hour sessions. Watch whenever you fancy, pause, rewind and work through the project at your own pace. You'll keep access to the lessons so you can come back to them whenever you like.

Two live 1-hour online making sessions

This is where we all get together!

I'll have prepped quite a bit of my project in advance, so it would be great if you could do the same. That way, we can concentrate on the more interesting parts of construction, and I'll be there to help with any questions along the way.

Or you can simply join us for a cuppa, a natter and to pick up a few extra tips and tricks while I demonstrate different techniques.

There's absolutely no pressure to keep up with me. That's what the recorded lessons are for!

A downloadable PDF pattern

So you can make the project again and again, perhaps in a different leather or as a lovely handmade present.

Projects suitable for domestic sewing machines

No industrial machine required! We'll be designing our projects with home makers in mind.

Every season we'll be creating something a little different, with projects including:

• Small leather goods and accessories
• Homeware and gifts
• Seasonal makes
• Some of our favourite RJ designs with a new twist!

We'll be using beautiful leathers, trying different techniques and hopefully inspiring you to get a little more creative with your own making.

One of the best things about The Crafting Bees is that you can make it work around your own life.

If you can join us live, brilliant! I'd love to see you there.

If you can't, no problem at all. You can follow the recorded lessons whenever you have time, whether that's a whole afternoon of sewing or half an hour here and there.

There's no ongoing subscription or commitment. Each seasonal project can be purchased individually, so you can join us whenever something takes your fancy.
