You’ll never lose your instructions, and you’ll always have the pattern ready whenever you want to make another backpack.

🧰 Suggested Materials:

• 8 square ft of lightweight leather (maximum 1mm thickness)

• 1 metre of heavyweight iron-on stabiliser

• 0.5 metre of medium to heavyweight lining

• 1 x sturdy 61 cm (we cut down) Ykk zip for the main opening 

• 2 x 20 cm Ykk zip for the front external & internal pocket
  

• Polyester or bonded nylon thread

🛠️ Suggested Tools:
All RJ Leather Studio patterns are designed to be achievable on a domestic sewing machine. For best results, we recommend:

• Teflon, roller, or walking foot

• Zipper foot

• Leather point needles (size 110/18)

• Scissors or rotary cutter

• Copydex glue or similar leather adhesive

• Hole punch & rubber mallet

• Rivet setting tool

• Awl or gel pen to mark lines

• Burnishing gum (e.g. tragacanth)

• Metal or plastic ruler, cutting mat

• Iron

• Small screwdriver (for hardware installation)
